POLAND JOINS THE HELLO EUROPE FAMILY, AWARDING COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT TO 10 MIGRANTS’ PROJECTS!

 

The Hello Entrepreneurship Programme is a new ecosystem-building initiative of Ashoka Poland and Citi Foundation with its programme partner being the Leopold Kronenberg Foundation.

The Programme aims to offer support to migrants’ social enterprises in Poland so that their talents and hard work could contribute to the public good, as well as to social and economic prosperity of Poland.

Designed to advance a long-term and comprehensive system of support for migrants in Poland through introducing friendly policies and funding opportunities indispensable for migrants’ social enterprises to emerge.

Programme participants will receive:

  1. A comprehensive three-month long support tailored to their needs and focused on preparing the project for implementation.

  2. A grant paid in Polish zlotys in the amount equivalent to 3’200 USD.

  3. An opportunity to present their initiative to investors.

  4. Support from migrants living in other EU countries whose projects were financed within the Hello Europe Programme.

  5. COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT FOR 10 MIGRANTS’ PROJECTS: The Programme will provide comprehensive support to 10 selected migrants’ social enterprises. We would like these initiatives to be an example that can be replicated by other migrants in Poland.

  6. IMPACT ON DECISION-MAKERS AND INVESTORS: The Programme intends to have a positive impact on local and national policymakers with the goal of creating better legal solutions enhancing social entrepreneurship projects created by migrants. We also focus on heightening the interest of investors towards social enterprises of migrants.

  7. COOPERATION; The Programme aspires to respond to real needs of migrants which is why implementation will happen in close cooperation with representatives of migrants’ organisations in Poland and individual migrants. The Advisory Board of the Hello Entrepreneurship Programme was set up to oversee this process.
